Who and What:
         THANKSGIVING DINNER

 

When:   November 27, 2008

 

We will be serving our traditional full course Thanksgiving dinner from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. As usual, seconds of turkey will be offered.  So, if you wish to avoid all the effort involved in cooking dinner at home, we are prepared to serve you.  We also can prepare a whole turkey to go.  Please make reservations early as this usually is a busy day at Mr. Stox.

Cream of mushroom soup

 

Seasonal green salad tossed in walnut oil dressing and

Garnished with fresh vegetables and croutons

 

Roasted fresh free range Ditzel Farm turkey with giblet gravy,

apple walnut stuffing and cranberry relish

 served with whipped potatoes, candied yams, and green beans

The Dickens Carolers will be here, performing for the last time this season.  Make your reservations early as this is usually a very popular time to enjoy the holiday decorations and spirit with your family.

We are doing something new this year for those of you interested in bringing in the New Year at Mr. Stox.  The Hilton Suites Hotel located at 400 N. State College Blvd, opposite the Edison Field, has set aside a block of rooms for our guests at $129.00 each, which includes a complimentary breakfast for two.  More importantly, you do not have to drive!  The hotel staff will deliver and return you to the hotel and Mr. Stox until 1:00 a.m.  For reservations you can call the Hilton Suites at 714-938-1111 or go to

This year we are offering live entertainment!  Starting at 9:00 p.m. the talented John Murphy will play and sing for your listening and dancing pleasure in our lounge.   To help us celebrate the New Year, Mr. Stox is providing balloons, noise makers, and those funny hats we wear once a year.  We have laid in a stock of some amazing champagnes for the celebration as well. 

For regular dining Mr. Stox will be open at 5:00 p.m. offering our regular menu plus two special dinners Chateaubriand and a Filet of Beef & Australian Lobster tail combination.

       VALENTINE’S DAY WEEKEND

When:   February 13-15, Friday-Saturday-Sunday

Details:

At this special time it is traditional to entertain your sweetheart.  Why not treat her to a lovely evening at Mr. Stox?  We will be offering some special dinner entrees and desserts to enhance your evening.  Be sure to make your reservations early as these nights will fill up fast.  Mr. Stox will be open for dinner at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  If you crave something really special, check out the Frog’s Leap Winery dinner on Friday February 13!
