The Marshall family is pleased
to announce that contrary to
numerous rumors, Mr. Stox will
remain open at their current
location on Katella Avenue. As
reported recently in the Orange
County Register, the Marshalls
have no plans to develop the
property.
Mr. Stox opened in 1967 and was
purchased by the Marshall family
in 1977. When Anaheim announced
its Platinum Triangle plans a
few years ago, the family looked
at the feasibility of
redeveloping the property to
include a new restaurant and
housing units in a five story
building. After a lengthy
review process by the city, it
became apparent that the project
was not viable at this time.
The family is pleased that this
distraction is behind them so
that they can focus all of their
attention and energies on
continuing to improve the
restaurant. They feel a great
attachment to their loyal
customers and the restaurant
staff, most of who have worked
at Mr. Stox for many years.
