Who and What:
        WHITE TRUFFLE WEEK

When:   November 10 to 15, 2008

Details:

Each Fall we anxiously await the arrival of the year’s first White Truffles from Italy.  These prized, and expensive, underground mushrooms are located by their distinct aroma using specially trained dogs and, or pigs.  All over Northern Italy they are delicately shaved over delicious pasta, risotto and veal dishes. 

Be sure to visit us during this festive week when we will be preparing special appetizer and entrée courses so you can enjoy the wonderful white truffles.

Who and What:
CHEF FOR A DAY with Scott Michael Raczek
When: 8:00am, Fridays - Dependent on Schedule

Details:

How would you like to spend the day in Mr. Stox kitchen working with our Chef Scott Michael Raczek?  He’s agreed to set aside the time on most any Friday his schedule permits. 

The day begins at 8:00 a.m. in the pastry department, where our pastry chef will be waiting with your personalized Mr. Stox chef’s jacket and a brand new French knife.  You will spend time making breads, preparing for lunch with the Sous Chef, and work on the cooking line through lunch. Next you will have lunch with the Marshalls at 1:00 p.m. and get their input on what’s cooking in the industry. 

In the afternoon, you will create a soufflé of your choice, create specials and review the latest cookbooks with Chef Scott.  Preparation for the evening meal service and assisting with dinner food preparation will conclude your day. 

At 7:15 p.m. you may invite up to 3 guests to join you for dinner at Mr. Stox.  You’ll have plenty to talk about after this experience!  The cost is $775.00 per person, which includes the Chef’s jacket, French knife, lunch for you, and dinner for you and your guests.  This makes a great gift.

  ALZHEIMER BENEFIT BRUNCH

When:  Sunday, January 25, 2009

Details:

Mr. Stox will host our 15th annual buffet brunch benefiting the Alzheimer Association of Orange County.  Our chef, Scott Raczek, pulls out all the stops and presents a lavish buffet filled with an array of fresh fruits, incredible salads, an amazing display of seafood and, of course, all the mainstay beef items.  A world class champagne accompanies the brunch.  In addition to all the above, there is a spectacular dessert buffet as well as an incredible silent auction. 

The Alzheimer Association of Orange County provides much needed help and information to both victims and families of people afflicted with this horrible disease.  Join us to support this worthwhile cause and also to enjoy a wonderful day!  100% of all proceeds go directly to the Orange County Alzheimer’s Association.
